SLIM GOODY
Slim Gooddy started off in the music scene at the age of 12 in his hometown of New Haven, Connecticut. He battled MCs throughout the tri-state area, winning numerous amounts of competitions and making a name for himself. After being signed with EMG for about a year, this recording artist continues to make history in his career and community.
Throughout time, he has jumped from the battle scene into what we see today. His first single, "The Revenge of Bonnie & Clyde", his first mixtape, "Purple Tape" (hosted by Jim Jones & Big Mike), proved him to be a competition for all that came across his path. Gooddy then released an album called "Ear 2 Da Street: Part I", selling over 2,000 copies hand - to - hand. Slim would later put out his 2nd single, "Pressure", also selling over 1,500 copies hand - to - hand.
Slim was also on the cover of Connecticut and Rhode Island's number 1 hip hop magazine, "Street Confinement". He has performed in numerous amounts of clubs, venues and events in the tri-state areas. Slim has performed at the notorious venue, Toad's Place, in his hometown of New Haven. Toad's Place is home to many memorable performances to artists of all genre. This breaking point in his career just shows that this is an art that is taken with much care and wants all to see.
Slim recently dropped his most anticipated mixtape, " M.E. - My Ego ". With so much talk and promotion on the mixtape, it was released a day earlier for those much dedicated fans and supporters who wanted their copy. May 17, 2009 marked the day of the official drop. The mixtape to date as sold hundreds of copies and continues to be available in the local area and on websites such as MySpace and soon to be iTunes. Slim Gooddy is currently working on his newest project and expects to drop this spring. Spring 2010 is ready to take on anything that Slim Gooddy and Sky's Da Limit Entertainment brings its way.
